- Queiroz Drogba decision on voting queries
Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz has questioned the decision of the Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba to play against Portugal wearing a protective cast on his arm broken during their dull 0-0 in Port Elizabeth.
Drogba played the final 24 minutes of opening Group G Tuesday in Port Elizabeth just ten days after his ulna fracture in a warm-up game.
Ivory Coast officials asked for and received permission from FIFA to play Drogba wearing the dressing, but while Queiroz insisted there was no controversy on the issue, admitted his surprise decision.
He said: "It is not for us to decide if Drogba should play or not, depends on FIFA. The meeting was held delegates, delegates of FIFA decided the arbitrator was final. It 'was a strange, as there concerned.
"There are rules and regulations, for example, some players may not play wearing a bracelet of rope, but a player can break his arm and play with chalk and endangering players of Portugal.

Drogba proved that it was his decision to be included among the substitutes, and said he was ready to start against Brazil in five days.

- Herbert proud of fighting spirit
New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert had words of praise for the attitude of his team as he took a 1-1 tie with a goal 92 minutes against Slovakia.
Herbert's side has never had a race to the World Cup with their only other appearance in 1982, seeing them lose all three group matches.
However, historical tested Winston Reid won the All Whites a draw and Herbert believes they now have the opportunity to move to the next stage of the tournament.

Asked if it was their best moment, he added:''it should be. We never won a point in a World Cup. We threw some punches really well today and I thought it deserved a very good result.

Marker Reid, who was booked for ripping off his shirt after scoring in the middle of the celebrations, said:''E 'was great. The first thing I did was look at the linesman to see if I was offside and it was good after. We just decided to stay there and hope for the best.
''Look at the smiles on the players and staff and that tells you everything. We are on the biggest stage of football and it's nice to be here.''
Slovakia manager Vladimir Weiss, meanwhile, described his shot als''een little drama team sports.''
